Method 1: Credit/Debit Card

Step 1: Go to the ‘Billing’ Tab

Log in to your DigitalOcean account and navigate to the ‘Billing’ tab in the main menu. This section is where you manage all your payment information and billing settings.

Step 1

Step 2: Select ‘Add Card’

Under the ‘Payment Methods’ section, click on ‘Add Card’. This will open a form where you can input your credit or debit card details.

Step 2

Step 3: Enter Your Card Information

Fill in your card details, including the card number, expiration date, CVV, and billing address. Ensure that all the information is accurate to avoid any issues with your payment.

Step 3

Step 4: Select 'Save Card'

After entering your card details, click on ‘Save Card’ to add it to your account. DigitalOcean will verify the card, and once approved, it will be listed as one of your payment methods.

Step 4

Method 2: PayPal

Step 1: Go to the ‘Billing’ Tab

Again, start by logging in to your DigitalOcean account and navigating to the ‘Billing’ tab in the main menu. This process is similar to adding a credit or debit card.

Step 5

Step 2: Select the ‘PayPal’ Tab

In the ‘Payment Methods’ section, click on the ‘PayPal’ tab. This option allows you to link your PayPal account to your DigitalOcean account for payments.

Step 6

Step 3: Select a Pre-payment Amount

Choose an amount you want to pre-pay. DigitalOcean requires an initial pre-payment when adding PayPal as a payment method. This amount will be credited to your account and used for future payments.

Step 7

Step 4: Select ‘Continue to PayPal’

Click on ‘Continue to PayPal’ to be redirected to the PayPal website. You will need to log in to your PayPal account to complete the payment process.
